Week 3 registrations for the Glitch Dance-O-Rama Competition are now OPEN!

It’s that time again…
Time for you all to line up and pawn off your latest loot for some PED.
Join me (MARIUS) this Friday July 23rd @7pm GMT (12pm PST/3pm EST) for our biweekly Flea Market.
The location will remain the same: in and around the teleport location in City of Dreams. As with the prior Flea Market, each ROCKtropian Crew member participating in the event will only buy up to 50PED worth of stuff.
This event will now be held every other Friday. For those of you who need it broken down, that’s July 23rd, August 6th, 20th, etc…

Do you fancy yourself the most amazing dancer in ROCKtropia?
That may be true but how good are you at GLITCH dancing?
Now is your chance to show off your skillz. Starting next Tuesday July 13th at 11pm GMT (4pm PST/7pm EST) you will get your chance!
Every participant in the event will have 1 minute to show off their Glitch Dancing skills for all players in attendance. Once all participants for the week have danced a poll on the NeverDie.com forums will be posted for you – the community – to vote on your Glitch Dancing Weekly Champion. The poll will only be active for 5 days. Once we have crowned 7 Weekly Champions we will hold a Glitch Dancing Grand Championship where the chosen seven will have to once again show their skillz and put their dancing crown in the hands of the humble public.
“What? Wow! That sounds amazing! But how do I enter???” I can hear you exclaiming.
All you have to do is post your avatar name in the weekly Glitch Dancing thread. If you are a NO SHOW for the contest then you will be DQ’d and your spot will go to someone else. There will only be 10 spots available per week. The Week 1 sign-ups will begin on July 9th (pacific time). Keep a lookout for the thread where you need to sign up.
The weekly Champion prize will be 50PED while the Grand Champion will earn a grand prize worthy of such fame and honor.
Lace up those tap shoes, fan out those jazz hands, and get to glitchin’.

1. How long have you been playing in Entropia Universe?
A. I have been playing Entropia approximately 5 yrs now.
2. What made you travel to ROCKtropia?
A. Spart & Curiosity! Once we saw the potential of this new planet, we decided to stay to help get the economy started. It’s been hard at times, but, nothing new is ever easy eh? hehe
3. What do you like most about ROCKtropia?
A. I love the diversity of the people. I love getting to know them all. People share little snippets of their lives with me & i love that little bit of trust they put in me. The RT Staff have been amazing!! So easy to get along & have a laugh with … Thank you for all the events you have created & the time you have taken with us all! You do all you can to make things fun for us all! Without you guys, i wouldn’t be getting this ROTM!
4. What is your favorite thing to do in EU? (hunting, mining, crafting, etc…)
A. My favorite things to do are, hunting, crafting and hanging out making new friends! Healing the newbie swunt groups, helping them with info etc. Going exploring/driving with Spart!
5. What would you like to see in ROCKtropia?
A. What i would like to see is the economy grow on RT. SHOPS!! Gimme Shops!! … People to have some stamina & to stick at it, EU is not easy, you have to work hard at it & it IS tempting just to give up … Taming coming back & being able to tame a dragon, equip a saddle & ride round on a dragon … And!! I wanna Motorbike/Harley/Trike made outta bones & chrome, Pink & Black hehe. Better music selection please! More Rock music! Less of the dancey shyte.
6. What is your favorite area/land on ROCKtropia?
A. Favorite Land Area/place has to be All of it haha … There’s different things to do/hunt in different places. The Diversity is so good depending on yer mood at the time, whut yer wanna do.
7. What is your favorite creature/monster on ROCKtropia?
A. I like the zombies, wolves stalkers & the pop dragons. Man, those zombies are stinking the place up, they need eradicating … hehe
8. What is it you want to be known for most on ROCKtropia?
A. Just being me. Helping people out as much as i’m able too. Oh and ofc, Teaching yer’s all to bloody taalk proppa liek whut I dis hahaha…
Have you ever had the desire to just stay in one place for a while? Every slept on someone else’ couch for days on end? You know, staying someplace that technically doesn’t belong to you and is either abandoned or unsold… If you have, you’re a Squatter. If you’re not sure what “squatting” means, well here is a helpful little definition from Wikipedia:
Squatting consists of occupying an abandoned or unoccupied space or building, usually residential, that the squatter does not own, rent or otherwise have permission to use. According to author Robert Neuwirth, there are one billion squatters globally, that is, about one in every six people on the planet. Yet, according to Kesia Reeve, “squatting is largely absent from policy and academic debate and is rarely conceptualized, as a problem, as a symptom, or as a social or housing movement.”
Why I am posting this? Because this is going to be our next competition! In order to enter, all you have to do is squat in one of the unoccupied buildings in New Harlem (the latest city to open on ROCKtropia as of 6/30/10). From now until the next major update take screenshots of yourself squatting in one of these spaces. Out of all the screenshots you take you can only submit ONE to the official competition topic at NEVERDIE.com HERE.
You have until August 1st to submit your entry. On August 2nd 10 submissions will be selected by your ROCKtropian Crew and placed on NEVERDIE.com and will be opened up to be voted on by the ROCKtropia public. The public voting will last for One week.
Whoa! I almost forgot to mention what the prize for this will be…

Do you want to be a part of the all new RRC (ROCKtropia Racing Club)?
In order to become an official member of the RRC you must first compete in TEN ROCKtropian Crew-hosted races. These races are held at random times and places throughout the day. Take a screenshot of yourself racing in a sanctioned event with the MindArk Timestamp in the picture (press ‘U‘ to see the timestamp). Once you have collected TEN of these screenshots, post them in this thread HERE. Upon verification, you will be come an official member of the RRC.
RRC Member benefits include entry into RRC only races and special prizes.
So what are you waiting for? Get in your car and go learn the terrain of ROCKtropia. You never know when or where the next race will be!
Did you feel the lag? You may have noticed a slight delay while logging in on June 30th and were more than likely prompted to wait for an update to download a patch to your system but trust us, it was totally worth it.
Here are the specs to the latest update:

- Our favorite Video Vixens look sexier than ever and even the Auctioneer is sporting new threads.
- Zombies around Zomhattan have had a bit of a sprucing up.
- PvP has returned to Zomhattan, make sure before you enter you take a Toxic shot (located in the Trade Terminals). Don’t forget if you are killed by another player in this zone all your stackable items can be looted.
There is even new loot to boot! Get out there and see what you can nab off of your fallen enemies. Plus you never know what else you might find…
