The ROCKtropian Wildlife Federation met today, and determined that with all the nucleo-molecular instability of the past couple of weeks affecting the DNA of the creatures on ROCKtropia, it is time to take a planet-wide survey of all wildlife on ROCKtropia. New varieties of wolves, vixens and zombies have been reported, and the RWF is looking to collect accurate data, so that dynamic stability can be restored to the native creature populations. The RWF has decided to pay a bounty for pictures of the natural wildlife that include their location. This way, by studying all the pictures, the RWF can determine the natural habitats of all of these new species that have been reported. Ladies and Gentlemen, we have lift-off!!! ROCKtropians were ecstatic today to discover that a whole host of new vehicles have arrived. Boats, hovercraft and a flying transport vehicle were all discovered after the latest update. City of Dreams inhabitants were amazed this morning by the huge flying transport that NEVERDIE was test flying around the city square.

Another new feature is a gravity/physics adjustment to vehicles and to avatars themselves, as crashing and falling into things will result in damage absorbed. Better be careful and watch them roads when driving or FLYING!!!

A voice chat feature has been added to your friends list section. Now you can not only write a private message to your friends and society mates, you can call them within the user interface and not have to use a third party chat program.

Lastly, you can now connect your avatar to your Facebook page, and post your globals, achievements and level increases for your friends to see. To set this up you need to login to your account here and choose Interconnect Services from the My Account menu. You can then set up your preferences and connect/disconnect your avatar to your Facebook and Twitter.

There have already been several new item discoveries today, and the community is excitedly exploring and testing to find out what else may still be hiding in a mob or in the ground. Check back soon for the latest news as discoveries are made and history is written.

In addition to the much improved layout of the forum, the recent update also adds many fun, new features including achievements. We’ve started adding new achievements, including the latest, Party Animal, which requires 150 friends on your list in the forum. We’ll be adding many new exciting achievements and may even have a contest with prizes for them. Since the NEVERDIE staff is always happy to hear from our ROCKtropia community, the comments section has been left open so that you can add your achievement ideas for future development.

ROCKtropia’s own artist, Cheri Moon will be featured in next month’s edition of International DJ Magazine (iDJ), hitting newsstands in the U.K. in the coming weeks. After the successful launch of her latest hit One More Crazy Summer, Cheri has been busy promoting her hit all over the UK and Europe. The feature in iDJ Magazine is one of many exciting developments in her quickly growing fan-base all around the world.

As the headline artist of NEVERDIE records, and virtual reality’s biggest star, Cheri is garnering attention all over the world for her unique multi-reality approach to marketing. While using more common methods of spreading her music such as the recent release of the music video for “One More Crazy Summer”, Cheri also promotes her music through virtual reality. Jon NEVERDIE Jacobs, virtual reality’s biggest superstar avatar, uses his virtual reality planet, ROCKtropia, as a significant portion of the marketing campaign for his record label’s main act. Major shifts in the quantum energy surrounding the planet ROCKtropia detected!!! Wild reports coming from all sectors of the Entropia Universe!!! ROCKtropia is experiencing a major shift in planetary population in the last day or so, as a wide variety of new creatures, land areas and hunting grounds opened up. Intrepid explorers are finding Zomhattan crawling with new zombies, wolves and various varieties of clones, androids and cyber-girls. New wolves have been spotted out in the wilds near Vampire Freaks cathedral, and several other places. The streets are no longer safe for the casual visitor, colonists are strongly advised to keep a sharp eye out, and a gun with you at all times.

An oil rig has been reported in the Motorhead Beer Gardens, though it is not yet operational. We expect a full investigation to follow shortly, so stay tuned for more information. Additionally, the bridge to the Tangerine land area has mysteriously reappeared, no doubt the thieves had a difficult time, and decided to simply return it. The search continues, but the good news is that the bridge is back, and once again, you can reach Tangerine via automobile.

While it is fairly early to know if more items are going to be appearing, creator and founder of ROCKtropia, NEVERDIE was quoted today in the City of Dreams as saying, “Blueprints are our highest priority for ROCKtropia.”

Another exciting development that many people have noticed is that there are shops and stalls in both the City of Dreams, and the Tangerine land areas that now have Estate Terminals. The building and construction inspectors are completing their procedures, and have reported that the shops will soon become available to the public. Oh man, what a party we’ve been having since this latest update to ROCKtropia! In the midst of all our partying, we’ve left quite a few cocktails lying around, as well as all different kinds of styles of Rock. We’d like to have all of you help us clean up the aftermath of our good times. We’ve decided to give you a little incentive to get this clean up accomplished…

In this thread, post a screenshot of your global on a ROCKtropia specific find such as Folk Rock, Blues Rock, or Maitai Cocktail, with your time stamp (this is very important,press U to get a timestamp in the chat window). The FIRST person to global on EACH DIFFERENT ore/en-mat, (this is why timestamps are required) after the specified event start time, will receive a bonus of 100 PED on top of their find. This means that once someone globals on a particular resource, such as Punk Rock, then that resource is now out of the competition. There will be one winner per ore or en-matter.

In order to give everyone enough lead time to prepare, and so as not to give anyone an unfair advantage, the competition will start on Friday, September 10, at midnight, 00:00 GMT/ Entropia time. This should give you just under 24 hours to plan accordingly. We will end the competition once every ROCKtropia specific ore and en-matter has been found.

This is not a largest loot, it just has to be a global, so a 50 PED find is as good as 50,000, it just needs to be the first one according to the EU timestamp, so remember to press “U” when you take that screen grab!!

On Saturday, August 28, one of EU’s highest level miners found the 7th highest ever single loot in a mine on ROCKtropia. Joe Jeff xXSqUaLLXx found 119,001 PED ($11,900 USD) worth of Binary Fluid, a necessary resource for crafting. This is the largest find ever on that particular resource, and also represents Joe Jeff’s largest single loot ever. This also marks the high water mark for a single loot on ROCKtropia, so a number of milestones were reached this past weekend. Rumor has it that Neverdie’s private stash of weapon designs and descriptions of new resources were reported stolen in a confidential memo on Monday. Though no specific details were released, for obvious reasons, speculation is that new resources may have found their way to ROCKtropia. New, secret weapon designs may also have been taken, according to our inside source, who insisted on anonymity, for fear of repercussions. “I heard that many different weapon system designs my have found their way into the hands of these thieves,” claimed the fearful insider. “It could even be in the double digits!” Our secret source tells us, “The economy of ROCKtropia may never be the same, once these weapons hit the market. I mean, if people got a hold of these weapons, who knows if the native species of dragons, wolves and other creatures on the planet would survive?” More information may be released soon, or perhaps world-renowned gamer Neverdie may try to keep this story under wraps, stay tuned for more information…
