Out of the 21 Days only 7 Days (00.00 – 23:59) of Date and Time Stamped Globals, (HOFs’ and ATHs’ Screenies can be entered…) can be counted. So U can choose the best days for your schedule or your best days of Crafting!Globals will be counted on All Unique ROCKtropia Blueprints only this is to encourage the consumption of ROCKtropia raw materials.
Your “days” will be counted using the in game time stamp with the earliest stamped screenshot each day determining your “day” of hunting. All subsequent screenshots in that day will be counted.ALL Global Screenshots must be Posted by the end of the Day on January 9th (09/01/2012 23:59 hours) in this thread on NEVERDIE Forum and include the position (in game hot key = P) and timestamps (in game hot key = U) with the global message in the chat box.
You can effectively Craft for 21 days, however choose your best 7 days of Crafting (global screenshots) that you wish to be counted towards the competition!!!. This will enable all participants to discount their “bad” days” and highlight their good ones. (wake up late one day…….. make up for it the next no in game timer to ruin your score!)
The points for the event will be scored by particpants earning a global (a loot worthy of entering the chat box)
For Each Global (globals include HoF’s and ATH’s) on each unique Blueprint the first 10 Globals will be scored as follows:1st = 1 Points
2nd = 2 Points
3rd = 3 Points
4th = 4 Points
5th = 5 points
6th = 6points
7th = 7 points
8th = 8 points
9th = 9 points
10th = 10 points
11th = 1 point
12th = 1 pointAnd so on!
NDS will monitor the competition closely to ensure a fair event for all participants. Any violation of the event rules stated here will result in immediate disqualification. If there is any confusion over these rules common sense may apply, but clarifications to rules will be made during the course of the event if neccesarry in The Main Event Thread. In case any problems arise in the ability to fairly judge this event. Event manager reserves the right to tweak the rules at any time in the interest of fairness. Event Manager decisions are final. No teams allowed this time!

We have been working on fixing a long list of Bugs, but due to some internal issues, it appears our Bug Fixing update was Bugged.. Something is Really Buggered Up around here and We plan to get to the bugging bottom of it or Die trying!!!
We have been given a new deadline for a mini patch by which time we hope to have all put on our biggest Boots and Stamped on these bleeding Bugs for once and for all.
And for those wise observers who like to point out that our communication methods are not professional. You are damn right they are not!

John Connor finds NEVERDIE in the Antarctic
John Connor flew many search and rescue missions over the last couple of days and finally his determination paid off when he spotted NEVERDIE trudging through the snow.
Connor provided NEVERDIE with a ride back to Camp Campbell and some important supplies were distributed to THING hunters.

Post 10 Global Screenies to claim a DVD reward
NEVERDIE’s Helicopter has crashed in the Antarctic while he was endeavoring to bring supplies back to camp Campbell.
Although radio contact has not been made, NEVERDIE does appear to be reaching out using a mobile device and messages have been seen on Twitter and Facebook.
To collect the Movie Prop Rewards offered by Universal, Avatars must actually Spot NEVERDIE in the Antarctic and offer help. Proof in the form of a screenshot will be required by Universal.
Screenshots will need to be Date, time and position stamped and posted in NEVERDIE Forum. The First Verified Posts will qualify for the rewards.
In addition to the Movie props on offer, NEVERDIE has indicated via twitter that armor and weapons can be found by the search parties.
It is imperative that we contain the THING in the Antarctic. The first twenty people who can post 10 Screenshots of different globals on THING creatures in NEVERDIE Forum can claim a collectors edition DVD of the 1982 version of The THING as a reward.
Only one DVD per Avatar and only one costume Prop per avatar may be claimed. DVD is Region 1 NTSC.

This new movie-length MMOG event is inspired by Universal Pictures’ current thriller The Thing, now in theatres nationwide. Starting on October 31 players will be challenged with locating and assisting the infamous avatar NEVERDIE, who has joined the fight to rid the world of The Thing. NEVERDIE went missing when his helicopter transporting a supply of flamethrowers and armor crashed into the ROCKtropia Antarctic. The exact location of the downed chopper is unknown, but fragmented distress signals are being received via Facebook.com/thethingmovie and Twitter @MYrocktropia and provide clues to his location and the whereabouts of his scattered precious cargo.
The flamethrowers and armor are vital to the containment of The Thing in the Antarctic. As such, Universal is offering one-of-a-kind props used during the making of the thriller The Thing as rewards to the first brave adventurers to find NEVERDIE and help get his shipment of gear back to the base camp. The movie props include a parka worn by one of the cast members and a pair of bloodied slacks used in the shoot. Additional prizes to be won during the course of the event include Collector’s Edition DVDs of John Carpenter’s original 1982 film as well as in-game rewards, such as Flamethrowers and Armor

Volunteers are needed immediately to help with this critical search and rescue mission. New players can sign up at www.HuntTheThing.com to create their free avatar and begin their adventure. It is highly recommended that new recruits train for the mission by attempting to hunt down The Thing in order to earn access to a helicopter, which will allow them to support in both ground and aerial search efforts.
